Treated Like A Dog

Once a dog has tasted meat.
As a treat to eat?
It will nolonger matter,
How many bones are thrown.
To expect that dog,
Feeling obligated to retrieve.

Since it is in the teasing of a treat,
That keeps the dog...
Feeling obligated to believe,
What is done to do and before to prove...
A deserving of a treat,
They will get to receive.

To anyone disbelieving,
A devoted loyalty shown to them...
Never ends.
Remove the treating of the meat.
To believe it was the teasing,
Of a bone thrown.
Expecting it to be fetched.
And brought back retrieved.

Too many believe,
Their power to obtain it...
Is in the teasing of treats.
That keeps a loyalty shown,
Kept to them devoted.

It is the meat to get.
And the reality of it's taste.

'Hey, buddy?
How's it going?
I heard about your new job.
I thought you were happy,
With that job you had?
You told me that!'

'I did and I was.
Until I discovered others were doing less.
To get paid more.

I tried to tell my boss about it.'
