God Is Love
We know that we abide in Christ,
Because He gave us His Spirit;
And in us Jesus has enticed,
Through the faith and our merit.
For we have seen and testify,
That the Father has sent His Son;
As a means for to justify,
In believing what He has done.
Whoso concedes Him as the Son,
God will also abide in Him;
And the Father will never shun,
Ensuring them spiritual vim.
We have come to know and believe,
The love that the Father has for us;
Through the blessings that we receive,
His love is flowing down as thus.
God is love and whoso abides,
God abides in us with His love;
Love within perfected and guides,
With the confidence from above.
It gives boldness come Judgment Day,
As He is also are we here;
As long as we trust and obey,
In love there will never be fear.
Fear not since perfect love casts out,
It has to do with punishment;
Because fear will bring on a doubt,
Which causes your strife and torment.
If you fear, love is not perfect,
He first loved us so then we love;
And if you stray then you neglect,
As many doubts will come thereof.
If you say you love the Father,
You are considered a liar;
If you have despised your brother,
His love is not your desire.
This commandment we have from God,
Whoso loves God must love his neighbor;
For the Father honor and laud,
His Spirit will help through your labor.
