MIRROR ON THE FLOOR
I am going to speak with no prose or cons…
Certainly many do stand for what they believe
Though there are so many who have eventually fallen
Not all that glitters goads but there are things that do
For instance diamonds are said to be a girls' best friend
Whereas pearl has the potential to be her fiercest enemy
With the acceptance of the latter she becomes her very own antagonist
Her sophistication and confidence was a thing of exquisiteness
The embodiment of power and grace so awe inspiring to many others
Now she no longer chooses to be seen unless in disguise
Her aura expiring, a faint flicker in the shadows… soon to be doused
Head below shoulders… spells out her majestic charm has been cast aside
Under the spell of the dust with magic to turn all to dust
A mind previously radiant with intellectual brilliance
Grievously demoralised by a pearlesque lustre
A picaresque lust stirs
Lack of constraint surfaced
No longer this scintillating charismatic enigma
Existence turned into her grave
With her head stoned
There is this vacancy in her soul which her eyes conveys
As though transmitted by one who invitingly hands death an assist
Dreading any thought of a lengthy life
Her epitaph by some has already been inscribed…
'Died because she was no longer living'
Oh how the heart saddens to be a witness to this
Once roaring with energy and glowing with pride
Now only lie in nest
Now feel lines drawn all energy from life
Finds it easier to bed delusion behind closed eyes
Embrace the morph fiend
'Lies' as comforting dreams within a distorted mind
Acknowledgement of truths transformed into thing of nightmares
Worst conceivable choice presents itself to be the easiest option
Self-denial easily accomplished through many exuberant blowouts
In reality, culminates into a devolutionary effect leading to self-implosion
If one stands with purpose to pretend not to hear lies they knowingly word
Then here lies one whose sole purpose is to now blindly see
