Eyes of a Toddler
Kimberly Harris 1989 (Kansas City)
Her hands are small waving with excitement and joy
Her feet move when she is excited with anticipation
Her nose is so adorable like a little small button
Her eyes icy blue like the glacier in Antarctica
Her brown hair is like the strong earth beneath her.
She smiles not giving a care in the world
She giggles and laughs as a free child.
She runs, jumps, and splashes in the puddles
She is free spirted not knowing this world.
She cries and lets her tears fall when she is sad
She shows frustration when she is mad and upset
She shows these emotions that she doesn't understand.
She is a child a small child full of hopes and dreams
She is a free child full of love and cares for others,
She is mommy's and daddy's world their hope
Their love, their dreams, their precious treasure.
