Every drop matters..
I rise from the weep of my fathers,
I am but a mere drop..
I cling to the bosoms of my mother,
And doing so, raise her crops..
Sun looks down on me,
With such a radiant and smiling face..
I feel the warmth and beckon of his love,
I part my mother, leaving not a trace..
I band with my brothers and sisters,
Forming a thick cloud..
As more of us coalesce,
We soon develop a dark shroud..
Looking down, upon our mother so parted,
We see death and what we left behind..
Soon we fly away, with gusts beneath our wings,
Looking to the future, is all in our mind..
Every so often, we tell ourselves,
We don't have no captain nor leader..
We are free to roam the yonder,
Well-supported by our mother, the feeder..
Very soon, we have our fights,
Discontent and disharmony takes seed..
There are no elders nor wise men,
To show us the direction we need..
Drifting from our original goals,
We reach an arid land..
For miles upon miles,
There is nothing but sun and sand..
Here we finally lose our sense and purpose,
Letting loose them sparks of lightening,
For what did we band together?
Finding no answers, and this is frightening..
As we disintegrate and fall to the ground,
Finding nothing but the solace of sound..
We were together for what seems so long,
In the bosoms of my mother, i again grow strong..
