Tint

I've been waiting days for my heart to be sober
But every time I think it's close you say something again.
I don't mind the barbed wire that holds your heart,
I've survived more than that.
Sometimes my scars help thicken my skin
and harden my steady resolve.
I don't bleed in color or black but in opaque,
like the wounds across your heart
