The Longing For The Divine
Here I stood, overlooking the sky on the hill.
The sight of her face, being quite the thrill.
Descending down, she touched the dirt.
Her feet meet the earth with a flirt.
My heart ran miles with fury,
For everything but her feet were blurry.
Looking down at the darkest depths of her being,
I felt my soul aching.
For no matter the case,
I knew I would never get a taste.
I stood shamefaced,
Imagining her pantywaist.
My soul with hers, interlaced.
But alas I tame the beast,
Forcing it to be ceased.
Knowing I may not feast,
For I was a mere priest.
And her?
She was Ethereal,
More so than an Angel.
I would not taint such pure beauty,
Despite the state of her creamy creaky
I would have to do my duty.
For she was the Light,
The cure to all with Blight.
She was the Oblivion,
Of my Delusion.
So I smiled,
And looked at her with all my love stockpiled.
"Welcome back, my goddess."
And she smiled back at me,
Like I was her child.
She was not to be defiled.
