Diastema

Gazing at brilliant set of ivory white
I was stuck by the astonishing gaps
A space where we both unite
In your mouth and soul perhaps.

The scary thought of losing you has gone too far,
Our naked truth now seems like a joke badly cracked.
Still I look around and all I see is you,
With a beautiful face and a dashing tooth.

About this poem

Talks about the beauty in gaps between the teeth.
