Discovered Together
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
If it had not been your expression of interest,
In my efforts and how they are endeavored.
Instead of expressing,
What I did to address impressions to make.
As if...
Anything else I did to enjoy doing it done,
Would be from your point of view...
Activities cemented,
Into a meaningless nothingness.
To hear and expect this.
We would have never together shared,
Our awareness in wasting...
False impressions to make to appreciate,
Each other to discover a happiness...
With a limitless doing without pretensions.
The boring kind attempted to make.
And a dislike to delude,
That which is nowhere near the truth to prove!
While slowly moving,
Towards an exit to disappear...
With thoughts to assume,
Gloom heard to hear it..
Is not on one's wish list.
'I like you.
And also your smooth moves,
Towards the exit.'
'I was looking for the restroom.'
'Oh.
There it is.
With a sign that says, RESTROOM.
And...
I like you as well.'
'Why do you like me?'
'Your willingness to tell me,
Where to go after what it is I can kiss!'
'And just how do you know this?'
'Your eyes.
They don't lie.
And what it is you desire,
Is not disguised to hide.
Few are that...outspoken.'
'That's funny.
I like the way you put that.'
'And I like what we like to like it like that too!
Together to discover each other liked!'
'Raw cashews.
Roasted without salt.'
'Will you stop teasing!
I can't believe you said that.'
'Whose teasing?
I have some in my pocket.
And...
With dehydrated pineapple pieces?
And raisins too!'
'Ssss...oh no.
No. Baby, No!
Pineapple pieces?
My favorite?'
'Yes. Yes!'
'Ssss...oh, baby...baby that's my spot!
That's it.'
