This great world

living in this great world
yet feeling so empty
as if there’s no purpose
to waking up everyday
seeing the bright skies
the rain on a cloudy day
its pretty and all
but really not enough to stay.
the people here act so cruel
as if they sit on a throne
forgetting the golden rule
if it’s not for the people, the beauty
why do i stay?
i guess it’s for the thought
of not being here one day
to take advantage of the mortality i have
the adrenaline rushes you feel
when you live a little astray
the world isn’t so fair
it’s not exactly perfect
but find your own reason to stay
so you dont end up in dismay.
