The Right Time
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
No time is like the right time found.
To know and define,
What the meaning of wrong is.
And to observe and witness it applied.
Wherever one goes,
Giving and receiving it.
With more awaiting in anticipation,
As if planted crops protected and nourished.
Encouraged impatiently watching them grow.
There is no time like these times today lived.
When delicious lies are told to be sold.
Leaving many craving the taste of negativity.
Fed to feed on deception allowed.
Regardless,
Of the damage done to their mentalities.
'Would you like another dose,
Of this effective self inflicting disease?
That has possibilities of addicting your mind,
Permanently?'
'Don't be so sarcastic.
Of course we want more.
What do think we are here for?
Approval and acceptance?
Your attempt at cynicism,
Would be better served...
To those looking at us,
As if appalled and offended.
We are here at the right time.
And at the right place.
With the hope to awaken,
The many still refusing to deny...
What time it is and the taste of truth.'
'But...
Isn't your truth fictioned to delude?'
'No one at this table,
Ordered sweetened rhetoric.
Semantics or hypocrisies.
With a side of beliefs,
No one values to keep as leftovers.
Nor are we living in denial.
To pretend a feeding on B.S.
Maintains a positive and healthy glow.'
'Oh.
So you all are...'
'Patriots.
The original ones.'
