Expectations
Expectations 1988 (Tsitsikama)
Expectations
Creations of believes percieved
Perceptions built on what we believe the truth to be
To be free, free of disappointment, expectations need to be
To be Built on truth to form reality.
Expectations are not real, dreams, they be
Goals, meant to satisfy me
Some benefit I believe I see.
Built on truth, deliberately
Acting, for its own reality
Manifesting my goal to be.
Whereas lies lead to agony
Destroyed, it and its allies as one enemy
The Truth does not tolerate duality,
Singularity, it is as it is and was meant to be
Expecting otherwise is foolery
Like fake jewelry, looks good but leads to the brewery
Drinking away the dispair of ill, uninformed schoolery
Informing my reality, making a fool o' me
Expecting things that simply cannot be.
Needy in ways that will not feed me
Looking for help, from the helpless
While they try to bleed me.
Knowing full well they cannot bring the success they promise to succeed me
Using lies, they eat me,
enslave me
for Slaughter they feed me
Lies.
Eyes, trained to deceive and lie
To you and I, we try
But to be free "I" must die
Expecting only the truth to manifest
And magnify, my investment, expectant
Of the outcome the truth intended
Befriended, guided by its insight, surrendered
The Truth has mended, I'm less dependant
On the lies, as recommended, relentless is the truth as its manifested.
Can't be bested, can be tested, nothing else can match it.
Expecting the truth is what imma invest in.
I Practice Peace, but not just restin'
