The sunset

Hudson 1992 (Guayaquil)

In about the middle of a 4 day heat wave the sun set so fast, became dark and late
My room's a mess and so's my head
I'm just layin' down in bed with my air conditioner on as cold as it could get, listenin' to music with my phone on my chest
My heart pumps the sqwakin's of seagulls at sundown but you could feel the stress
Every little moment spent together's still alive in our steps
I'm just havin' a couple of flashbacks that stuck of what you had said, reechin' for the cool water and receivin' a notification of 1 of your texts
We might break tonight, up until the mornin' light just how we've done before,  keepin' dreamin' of nothin' more than a quiet life that's filled with rain at times but don't necessarily expect to find
I'll take a brief look up the sky with a couple of clouds blowin by, seemin'ly gone soon and no moon
