Envy

Did the gods grow envious
Of the flame we split in two

Hand in hand
Our flames reached the heavens

Eye to eye
We were never alone
Always at each other's sides

... Now...

The centuries have  unfolded
The dawn held horrors
We could not imagine

Sword in hand
Shield in the other
The love we had
Now a beacon of disdain

Nemesis wrapping her fingers
Into our sides..
We should have known
The gods would grow envious

Sword in hand
Shield in the other
We were each other's demise.

You should read about the full amour of God
For the Believer he is fully protected
Read the Bible, it is a classic !
