To Eachother
TO EACHOTHER.
That when breath from ocean green flew,
Unto neck mine, dancing and calling;
That Hebrews when they beheld the dew,
All sparkful, luscious on them falling;
That violin when from walls of sun,
Plays till the snows kneel into rivers;
That strength when little children run,
On crotchety verdure young which quivers;
That Mother, when she to her babe feeds,
Her heaven- swift milk; or when the skies
Rise and fall like soft breast and yields
Time her comfort and Man her joys-
Poetry and Me like to these each come,
That I be a refugee and it my home.
About this poem
It is my expression of feeling the Poetry. I wrote it while it was being played in my head but with only a fragment of a word or two. Then it began to weave a sensation : I realised I was thinking of having to feel poetry and I wrote it. A word or two are completely of my construct but belong to the family of words whose meanings are given in dictionary. I am taking the poetic liberty .
