my missing identity

my missing identity

hollow spaces waiting to be filled
broken dreams that were never meant to be fulfilled
a friend  whom i have lost
an empty mind free from all kinds of        thoughts

the world moves me on its puppet strings
i dance to its tunes like i don't need anything
i chose to lose myself to keep something i held dear
now it feels pointless as   you are no longer  here

i wished to be the bird that could fly away
i became the blade of grass because planted i must stay
i always tried to search for that one ray of light
my missing identity in this never ending life

About this poem

this poem came to my mind when i was at the lowest phase of my life, i failed to get jobs as i was visually impaired and honestly the world thinks that screen readers are not practical . so here i am trying to fly with a broken wing.
