The rise of fall

Muhammed Hayyan 2007 (Kerala, Kasaragod)

In the vale, dotted in red
A wind blows, screaming in dread.
The sun shines in a shadow cool.
Fall comes in regret and rue

The nights are cold and winds squeal.
A mournful night of critter's zeal.
The leaves crunch on the ground below.
Dotted in a silvery orange glow.

Fall comes with a sorrowful cry.
On days we eye the dull blue sky.
The winds blow and orange flies.
Signaling summer's demise

About this poem

I wrote the poem due to a melancholic inspiration that struck me as I gazed at the fallen leaves on the ground in the park during autumn. The words just flowed and then came this.

I am a high school student. I am deeply fascinated by the profundities of writing and spend a great deal of time thinking about books or poems. I feel like poetry is something that overflows out of me, something I can not suppress. more…
