Taught To Be Played
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
People with nothing else on their minds.
But what has been in them to implement,
Over time cemented to accept...
Only that which has been told to know,
Is truth.
And the best of reality,
They can be guaranteed to get.
To realized much later in their lives,
Themselves...
Available and willing victims.
Volunteering to be played.
Yep!
P-L-A-Y-E-D.
Played.
And by one who seems always to claim,
Can teach the game of chess.
With an undeniable expertise.
Capable to make the winning moves.
Although...
Can not be knowledgeable enough to know,
As to why those loudest heard to brag...
About what it is they can do,
Are often the ones...
First to get their butts kicked!
'Beginners luck.
I thought you said,
You knew nothing about the game of chess!'
'I don't.
But...
When you told me,
Who had what position to move where.
With a doing to do what.
And...
Who wasn't 'All That' but wore a crown.
Roaring like a clown.
Or a Lion in a jungle.
Attempting to frighten everything around.
Leaving the woman left,
To take care of business.
And protect everything?
That's life.
Many can't teach it as it is to be learned.
How real can a game like this be played?
You lost, I won.
So what's the big deal?'
'You learn very quickly!'
'Isn't that what being observant is?
Why do some become surprised,
Or pretend it.
When they are taught to be a better player?'
'You want to play again?'
'Sure.
But don't ask me which move I will do next!'
'I'm just making sure,
You know what it is you are doing!'
