The Weight of the World

Anneliese, Anneliese,
es alle gut, Anneliese?

You were the beacon of Bavaria,
the light of the mountains,
the daughter, even a Mother Superior,
would wish for.

Now here you lie,
you are going to die.

Who is killing you Anneliese?
Is it the Fathers, Alt and Renz,
with their holding you back?
Is it Judas, Nero, and Hitler,
amalgamated inside of you?
Or is it the mystery of psychiatry,
Cerebrum putredo,
and the weight of your head on your shoulders.

I can see your soul ready to go,
at any moment.
Release yourself, dear one,
you were not meant for this existence,
under the law and order of robed dictators.

Anneliese, Anneliese,
smile now Anneliese.
You will rise higher than the rest,
be light with light,
the weight of the world is no longer yours.
