Moving on
Kevin OMeara 1979 (Baldwin)
When I close my eyes I still see your face
In this dark quiet room everything seems so out of place.
I still recall the first time we met
Your smile and laugh as we seemed to connect
The times you invited me to all those things
I still feel the pitter patter remembering how much joy that brings
The texts good morning and goodnight
Yearning for them each day like a story out of sight
I drove to see you made every excuse
Work so hard like an old caboose
Seeing your name pop up on my phone
Made me not feel so alone
I don’t know what really happened back then
All i know is today I feel lost writing with my pen
The feelings I had with you were all real
And its stupid that anyone would not recognize how I truly feel
The day we got torn apart
I still came for you cause I could not depart
Even the slightest thought you could be in danger
I came running like a rescue ranger
Today it doesn’t seem right we aren’t together
And yes I still have that feather
I cry and I laugh with you always on my mind
I want it all back again like a lost I came to find
I read a statement that said if the market crashes invest in something you wouldn’t mind holding for 10 years
10, 20 , eternity is hold you with joyous tears
I miss you everyday as I say goodbye
I hate goodbyes please don’t make me leave
