I don’t know
When I close my eyes my brain opens
Aware of the ins and figuring outs
Compartmentalizing theory and “intellect”
Fact or “fantasy” evidence or evanescence of possibility.
Dissect the cohesion of fractal illusions
To make sense of it all.
If facts are sacred
why do they show up as fragmentations all over the air, Polluting the obscure?…
Why do humans reiterate their being?
Repeating, repeating and receding
If existing is all we see
What’s the point of vast imagination?
Why do we seek?
Your answers will never satisfy me
I see past explanation
I see past understanding
The truth is I don’t want to fathom
I want open ended answers and curiosity
I want us to shrug our shoulders with a smile while we mouth “I don’t know”.
I want to lie in the comfort of infinite
About this poem
This poem was sparked by a feeling of curiosity of the unknown. A personal feeling of wanting to keep the unknown exciting and full of possibilities instead of constantly searching for answers.
