The Mother Hen

Edward Otoo 2001 (Gomoa Nyanyano)

Oh! Mother hen
You laid your elegant eggs
And hoped to see them
Hatched into beautiful babies
The eggs you laid
Were found in a frying pan
Under a hot fire everyday
But you never get discouraged
And you never stopped laying eggs
I have learnt from your bravehood
And your motherhood
I celebrate you oh mother hen

About this poem
