My prayer to the one
My only prayer to the ONE is this,
Bring back the times of holiness and bliss.
The times when swear was meant to trust
Ones character was worth more than gold dust.
When Air was fresh and waters pure
No one slept hungry of that I'm sure.
When hearts had rooms bigger than home,
No one was left saddened alone
All were rich and no one's poor
When laughter was the only cure
Could hear the songs of birds all day
At night before sleep we all would pray
To thee that we may never fight
To tell the difference between wrong and right
When pride was worth not a penny more
Help would come from door to door.
When love was in the air you know,
A man would ask for her hand with a bow
Children played in the fields without worries
Every moment spent were worth childhood memories
When nature was the Mother for all
You learned to stand up for every fall.
Honesty was then the only policy they say
Truth always triumphed come what may
Days of the glory, greatness in every deeds
When hunger was for food but never for greed.
Those times have passed will never come back
We have everything now but the very soul we lack
My only prayer to the ONE is this,
Bring back the times of holiness and bliss.
