Starry eyes

Nestley Leann 2005 (JS,MS)

your starry eyes
my, how they glisten
like a moon on a lake,
or a thousand fire flies

see their lights shine through the night
near and far
look over yonder, i see it
just as they are about to take flight

they float by with ease
when i look at you, i think of them
the wind blowing softly, and light
can you feel the breeze

the moon has rose
just as the sun has died
lets take a short walk
and walk through the flower meadows

About this poem

it’s basically looking into the eyes of the love of your life and you want to just stare at them forever and see the love in their eyes.
