The Wind and the Stranger
Tap, tap, tap upon my door.
Tap, tap, tap three times more.
Could it be the wind or something so much more.
For if it's the wind I shall let it blow.
Tap, tap, tap upon my door.
Tap, tap, tap three times more.
Could it be a stranger lurking through my door.
For if it's a stranger, I shall not want to know.
For if I open the door to find the wind, it shall be a sigh of relief.
But if it's a stranger, I stand in disbelief.
I stand shuttering at the closed door, contemplating in my mind, three taps more.
I open the door to find no one there, a gentle breeze covers the air.
No stranger to fear, no more tapping on my door.
I settle down fears no more, my mind at ease.
Pondering the tapping at my door, hearing the gentle breeze.
Tap, tap, tap upon my door.
Tap, tap, tap three times more.
