I MIGHT HEAL IF I ACCEPT
Scott Iyamu 1981 (Benin City)
It's hard for me to say or accept,
That you are happy without me,
But I might be healed if I accept.
It's hard for me to accept ,
That you regret meeting me,
Cos it melts me.
But I might heal if I accept.
It's even more hurtful
Cos I am not resourceful
To know why you hate meeting me,
But I think again, it's a secret weapon that will be used against me always,
But I might heal if I accept.
It's hard for me to accept that you find true happiness with your old school friend,
But I might heal if I accept.
But life is too short for you to be unhappy.
I might be jealous of your happiness,
Cos it gives me sadness
That I am not part of it.
But I might heal if I accept.
It's hard for me to accept that your true happiness lies outside me.
But I wondered how you have coped all these years?
But I might heal if I accept.
Its hard for me to say it
I never knew I was being tolerated.
But I might heal if I accept.
We have had our share of troubles like every other couples,
But I thought we were coping
And I was hoping,
We ' d hop
Scaling and sailing,
Till we grow Old.
To accept the reverse of these,
Its almost impossible,
But I might heal if I accept.
Its hard for me to accept
When the by product of the relationship,
Becomes Your main focus in the relationship.
When the by-product becomes your reason for staying
But I might heal if I accept.
I had always believed,
You're a gift to me for relief
This I must keep believing
Cos I'll heal as I accept.
True healing begins with accepting.
Accepting the choices we make.
Accepting challenges
Accepting shocking revelations.
Accepting without bitterness.
Regardless of how difficult it may be
But I might heal if I accept.
