The Man I am

David Raymond Bast 1979 (Grand Rapids)

The Man I am
I had a rough road
too walk on I was
barefoot through most
of it getting my feet
cut up bruised bloody
even when I had
shoes on it still
was a struggle to
walk through the road
I was on it took
me to places no
one would want to
ever see I was locked
down it happened so
that Christ would be
Glorified in the places
I have been it was
his way of teaching
me that every person
matters it is how
we respond too his
correction if we say
oh well I will live
my way than what
did you actually learn
nothing absolutely nothing it
is absurd too think
that way if we really
want change in our
life than we might
as well get dirty
start picking up the
Word it is sharper
a than double edge sword
