Medusa
Where to go now after tumbling down so terrifically? I’m Mr. Dumpty trying to pick up my pieces. Broken but not defeated feels like holding on to a rope attached to a car called Life and being dragged along a bumpy road. I know nothing can fill the craters left by the disastrous accidents, but I keep shoveling away with my eyes shut, dreaming about the progress that I’ve made. Receptive to plenty because the past refuses to be faced; it’s Medusa. I take a peek, and I become paralyzed at the sight. I got caught staring; it’s becoming impossible to move forward now. I can’t feel my legs anymore, no more running away. My heart beats slightly slower as I turn to stone, stuck forever, staring at days gone by.
