This Performance From A Witless Script
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
This theatrical act.
Performed to distract.
Has, in fact, attracted more.
Hoping,
One's activity to steal every scene.
Will not have everlasting meaning.
Upon the minds of those mesmerized,
By one who lies and deceives.
Yet found to find overwhelmingly entertaining.
There has been no other time,
People undermined purposely.
To hear from anyone admitting it.
Committed to fraud and this to be permitted.
When another who held,
The same leadership position,
Wore a brown suit to a press conference.
Upset so many with wishes wanted,
To have him impeached.
For misrepresenting,
A kept image of pretense.
With an effective impression created to make.
Who knew wearing a brown suit,
Would have more of a focus.
Than one's ability to produce good deeds.
For all to see.
There has been no other time,
Reality kept to fictionalize...
Is defended to protect more the truth to live it.
And this is within the shores,
Where one's free speech has become...
A reason to give pause as to who is the cause,
For the rise and normalizing,
Of mental instabilities.
This theatrical act to continue laughing at.
Has attracted more people out of their minds.
Devoted to a joker who provokes,
Crimes of all kinds and laws to break...
With a determination,
To destroy a way of life.
Fools are made to ignore themselves used,
As tools sacrificed.
Although entertained to remain,
Dumbed down, hoodwinked and duped.
With a doing to perceive this act performed,
Will eventually deliver to them benefits.
If...
They, the people, support and endorse,
The buying of popcorn.
From the one selling them B.S.
To love and cheer this going on.
While they become addicted to the smell.
And then keep their beliefs,
That someone like this alone can fix...
What has been done to everyone.
If they ignore the theatrics.
And also the obviousness,
Of his rewritten witless script.
'Is self loathing a benefit or a virtue to have?'
'Should I laugh?
Or should I pretend your question to ask,
Is serious?
I can do both,
These days of craze and hysterics displayed!
And trust me,
You or no one else would know...
The difference.'
