Trapped
Trapped
You see no one understands what it's like being trapped inside your own mind
Left to try and self-medicate while loneliness and heartaches seep in feelings designed to whisper nothing but venomous thoughts untill you believe them to be true, like vines they twist and wind until they're consuming every space they can find,
No one understands what it's like being trapped inside your own mind!
Unlike you and I we know the turmoil and torture thoughts can bring ya,
Unless you've fallen so far past a rock bottom into the darkest depths of despair then your clueless as to how it feels to be lost inside your own mind.
No one understands what it's like being trapped inside your own mind
Addiction, anger frustration, rage, codependency and unhealthy relationships mean violence hits, and although sticks and stones may break your bones words will destroy your soul they, fester rotting away any positivity.
No one understands what it's like being trapped inside your own mind.
They linger until you become a believer your brains full of bad pathways, eroded into the brain matter and firing off to each receptor, now it's got ya, your trapped inside your own mind. Now everyone thinks you've gone crazy, popping pill after pill, you trusted medicine to save thee, but it caused PTSD, with tremors on the bed you cannot forget, you pray there's an ending because you don't want to die inside your head walking around zombiefied with nothing but a glazed glare behind blue eyes.
No one understands what it's like being trapped inside your own mind
Apart from the dwellers of the depths of despair, you and I have both been down there, but if you follow the bright white light in your mind's eye, there you'll find the strength to build the stairs out the rotted pathways and free yourself from your own mind.
Then you'll understand what it's like being able to break free from the binds of your own mind and think clearly with positivity inside your once rotted torture mind.
