Dear School.
Dear School
What's actually her crime?
School why me
She had always dream of you
got happy that at sixteen
you will be her's
but here she is, you really failed her
why her, school why.
Then thinking of you again
seventeen isn't that late she said
got all documents necessary to have you
but you failed her again
why her,school why.
She couldn't let you go
the thought of you in her mind
she knows what it takes
to be interviewed by your secretary (jamb)
not that she failed, but you need not her
and she's eighteen already
why her, school why.
Having in mind as the days runs into week
and the weeks into month and the months into Year, she grows older
her mates already passed her
no joye, school no joy.
She's now broken
she was broken
and has been broken before
she's now lost the joy of attending lectures
and has gone to be interviewed again
why her,school why.
She's finally gotten you
but that joy had long begone
she's with you to fulfill her dreams
nothing more, nothing less.
She smiles for reasons best known
but remembering her age
and the fact her mates
must have been in their finals
she frown more and more
as she's now in her twenties
why her, school no joy.
