Jesus, My Lord, My Anchor
Drifting along in the world, never knowing what is ahead,
not knowing where the journey will take me,
I know, Jesus, my Lord, is my anchor,
Trusting, knowing that HE is always with me, no matter what comes my way, I will forever stay close to HIM.
I will forever pray, knowing JESUS, my anchor is there along the way,
Drowning in despair, agony over the things that life delivers my way, praying unto HIS holy name, knowing that He holds me in his loving, faithful, mighty hands.
Comforting me when it seems no one else can,
He will always ANCHOR through the depths of my soul,
being in full control.
Fighting back pain and distress, hatred at times, knowing that when I call upon his name, he will bless.
Trusting and following Him all the days that he gives me, HE anchors my soul and spirit.
When my hope has grown weak and dim, feeling that I can no longer cope, I'll be holding on to my anchor's rope.
He's my strong hold, I'm forever leaning on HIM.
JESUS, MY LORD, MY ANCHOR,
on HIM will I forever depend,
My forever friend,
JESUS, MY LORD, MY ANCHOR!!!!!
