My Baby, My Last

My baby, My last
You grew so fast
I planned to enjoy the newborn you
But sadly inside me anxiety just grew
Excitement and joy
For my baby boy
Were stolen from me
So abruptly
Replaced with fear
For you to be near
Intrusive thoughts in my head
that filled me with dread
The fear and anxiety were so rife
Those were the first few months of your life
I lost precious time I’ll never get back
because I was numb and had lost track
Every day I wish I could turn back time
To hold that newborn baby of mine
Without all the fear that stole my joy
For you my last baby, my baby boy
