The Winter Storm
The Winter Storm.
The wind biting with the cold.
All you do it pray to find someplace warm
Some place safe, a place where you don't feel overwhelmed and controlled.
Controlled by the harsh wind and snow
Overtaking you, and burying you where you stand.
Taking you under and deep below
Where everything seems to be getting out of hand.
But oh the blindness of the snow is the biggest beast.
No amount of your dearests can protect you from this demise,
No direction can you turn and run to get away from the intensities increase,
And over the roaring storm no one will be able to hear your cries.
And the pressure to keep moving and stay awake as you feel the frostbite
As it takes over leaving you with no strength.
Oh the fright you have when you have the pressure to fight.
The storm knows no limits, goes to endless lengths.
As you lay in the cold you ache for the time when you had a warm fire,
Ache as the memories flood in
You remember and sit there and admire.
Admire the times where you had strength within.
But that time is no more you think,
And you let the cold envelope you in its absolute.
And this is the moment where you rethink,
Will I stop, or continue to execute?
I can not tell you the end.
As there are many ends to the story of the snowstorm,
And I do not know the end, I will not pretend
Of whether you, your loved ones, or I will fall prey to this cold Winter storm.
