The Sunset of Friendship

A friendship was never set or planned
Nor expected to come on expected time
Some may leave and new may come
And you won't know when one is gone.

Enjoy every time, every moment shared
Cause you won't know, 'til when you'll have cared
And don't be sad, when it suddenly ends
Forgive the untold reasons of your dear friend.

It's hard for me to speak knowing it would hurt
Preferred to sit in silence and rather not be heard
Rather than all the cherished moments left, all be shattered
If words deep in my heart and thoughts are misread.

About this poem

This is about seeing and feeling a gradual end of friendship. But nevertheless, accepting the fact that it is ending.
