JOLLY OLD ST. NICK
Santa Dropped Into The Store
Just The Other Day
To Spread His Yuletide Cheer --
And Check Out Our Display !
His Suit Was Red ; Trimmed in White
With Big Black Boots ; What a Wonderful Sight
And He Made Us Laugh ; Much to His Delight !
He Wanted Books For Kids & All
To Brighten Up Their Day !
He Said if We Would Just Comply
And Make His Wish Come True....
So To The Brim We Filled His Bag
With Books & Goodies Too !
Jumping Out of His Bag ; Was A Marvelous Sight
Little Green Elves & Some Fairys Too !
They did a Litte Jig, A Dance, & A Song,
And Penny, the Boston Terrier, Sang Along
We Were Ever So Happy With Their Merry Song
They Sprinkled Their Dust & All Was Fine
Then Trimmed The Tree in Record Time
Hung A Little Holly & Bowed to Say:
" We'll See You On Christmas Day " !
They Spun Around & Clicked Their Heels
And Before our Eyes They Disappeared !
Then Just As Santa ..........Went Upon His Way
He Tweaked His Nose & Turned To Say :
"A Mistletoe Mrs. Claus Would Hang Upon Your Entryway"
........ It Brings Good-Luck & Kisses Too !
........To Nice Little Kids & All of You !
We Heard the Jingle of The Bells
As Rudolph Led The Way
Up Thru The Chimney & Onto The Roof
All We Could Hear Were The Reindeer Hoofs !
Quick As A Wink ;They Were Gone in A Flash
They Had Many Stops & Much To Do !
So On A Cold Winter Nite; Just Out of The Blue
Don't Be Surprised If They Visit You
So Buy A Book & Bring A Smile
Upon Someone Today !
And Don't Forget in '96
