The Christmas Gift
......The Christmas Gift.........
Away in a far and distant land,
In a time of earth-bound space.
There traveled three men across this land,
In search of a sacred place.
Three men of royal and wealth,
That came upon a star.
Three men wise of wise,
Who traveled so very far.
Then suddenly on a frosty eve,
The star stopped and spread its light.
It crept across some Shepard's fields,
And beamed so very bright.
Then below this star the time had arrived,
That a miracle was here on earth.
A child was born to a virgin bride,
And the time was our Lords birth.
Now centuries have come and gone,
And stories have been told.
Young children have grown up,
And grandparents have grown old.
But wisdom of this sacred time,
Shall bring forth reverent visions.
And choirs will sing angelic songs,
And mankind will learn lessons.
That God who loves all humans,
That he gave his only son.
That man and earth and heaven,
Shall learn to be as one.
So once a year when it's Christmas time,
And you reflect on all years past.
Just try to remember that frosty night,
When Christ appeared at last.
Because he gave us gifts forever,
Of hope of eternal life.
With faith, and peace, and harmony....
That's mankind's only strife.
So, let's share this Christmas spirit,
And may angels bless you from above.
May all your sorrow, be gone tomorrow,
And your heart knows...Christmas is Love.
