The Moon who once lived as the Sun
World is theater and role play
My role was to shine as sun and shine the day
But the climax happens in long dark nights
The moon was there to protect them in the midnight
I was a side character but also shined them all
I shined the moon so moon shined the rest
The difference is at the day
People stayed home and rest
They told me I'm the sun
And need nobody to shine
But everything has a time of expire
And it burns me out, sun's fire
She exhausted my fire and light
And didn't care if it was alright
I can't stand the day anymore
And sun is not something night can endure
I close my eyes and embrace the black sky within
I open them up and darkness is everywhere I'm lookin'
I look around, stars all around me.
Night, something I thought I would never see
Happiness I feel yet no light on me
Guess I am the moon and no sun for me
As tragic as a dark night, my heart is too
Guess all I miss is a sun now to end the tragedy
I'll wait night & night for the day to end this agony
~Having fun with my family
And yet I'm not joyous and happy
Staring at the window, darkness to behold
I'll keep staring for the dawn, darkness no more
And a sun for me to hold ~
