The wind vane

I am the weather vane of the winds,
I have no control over time.
I am the weathervane of the winds.
I have no control over my time.

 I will. I turn and I run out of breath,
Beaten by the winds and the breath.
Disjointed puppet; puppet man;
Clown for some; for others, weathervane.

Do you hear me, O You who leads the winds?
Do you hear me, O You who leads our time?
                          Majesty!
O Celestial among the celestials!
               Amen ! Amen ! Amen !
I have an air that comes from the belly of the earth,
                       O Majesty!
Which comes from the beginnings,
from the pains of humanity,
Transported by the force of the earthly winds;
Accompanied and punctuated by the chants
which elevate and glorify our epics.
My tune is a hymn to freedom!
My tune is a song of humanity!

O Celestial among the celestials!
                    Majesty!
       Amen ! Amen ! Amen !
Do you hear it, O You who leads time?
O Celestial among the celestials!
                     Majesty!
Do you hear it, O You who leads our time?
My song is a hymn to freedom!
My song is a song of humanity!
