Take me to the place I know
Take me to the place I know
Where it’s never cold.
Take me somewhere far away.
Take me to my youths playground
Where he wanted to stay. Please this agony I cannot take. Please take me faraway.
I wake up and ask is this hell?
Why did he do this to me? Threw me down hells dungeon and it was my soul he did sell. Take me some where faraway where love is held close. Held so close and a rose is also a thorn. My heart is still bleeding.
My soul weeps but it’s now alive more than ever!
That man I loved boy was he clever.
He has awaken a light in me.
I once was blind now I see.
It is better to have loved and felt its sting then to have never loved at all. A new place now blooms.
A place where pain is my friend and love is welcomed here. So take me to this new place I know this place I am now not afraid. It is better to feel love or feel hate then to not feel a thing. So I must say do not be afraid of loves sting.
It shows us we are still alive it helps our heart to sing!
About this poem
I wrote this in my youth when I was in love and trying to make sense of raging young love in my heart. Raging desire for a love I longed for and with him a fresh start.
