Ty (Thank You)

I was bruised
Bloodied
Halfway gone
And then there you were
The light in your broken eyes
Lit up a little more
When they fell on mine

You lit a fire in me too

You
Whispered quiet hope
To my tired soul
Like the first glisten of daylight ripples
On a muddy pond

Reminded me of who I am

I miss you
I learned from you
You saved me
And I’m grateful
