The Lord is My Shepherd

The Lord is My Shepherd

The Lord is my Shepherd. He provides all I need.
A family, a job, and opportunities to do good deeds.

I never have to worry or beg for seeds.
I simply rest in pastures He has designed for me.

In His bosom I lay,
And with renewed passion, I stay.

I follow Him through the hallway of time.
And when I come to a dark valley, I gladly resign.

Though the shadow be dark and deep,
The comfort I need, He provides for me.

For my Shepherd has conquered death, hell, and the grave.
And I am sure I will be raised.

At the table of blessings is where I sit.
With my enemies looking on in discontent.

Exceedingly blessed with whatever I need.
My Lord, My God does nothing but please.

Friends I have; goodness and mercy are their names.
They are always with me; they never change.

In the house of my God, I look forward to stay,
Not just on tomorrow but forever and a day. Amen!
