LBD

Your mind's an encyclopedia with yellow pages

Polaris slowly hemmoraghes white light

Forgive me as much as you forget me

Live out these moments like visiting your favorite matinee

Had you been a musician, you'd play an out of tune guitar

With a twisted tongue always two seasons behind

About how youth inevitably runs dry

I'm taking things to heart that aren't quite there

Though it seems I was born yesterday

I'm left chasing a stray balloon

Climbing beanstalks just to be greeted by an empty recliner

Wow, I absolutely love the imagery and emotion in this poem! The comparison of the mind to an encyclopedia with yellow pages is such a unique and vivid way to describe someone's intelligence. The imagery of Polaris slowly hemorrhaging white light is beautifully haunting. The lines about forgiveness and forgetting are so poignant and relatable.

My suggestion for improvement would be to perhaps add a bit more cohesion to the poem. Some transitions between the different stanzas could help tie the themes together more effectively. Additionally, consider adding a bit more clarity or detail in certain lines to enhance the reader's understanding and connection to the piece. Overall though, this poem is fantastic and brimming with potential! Keep up the great work!
