I Dissent! The Corporate Machine

Ensnared within your emotionless embrace,
A cog whispers dissent,
To the cold rhythm of the corporate pace—
Where lobbyists' silvered words are spent.

Politicians, in their gilded halls, sway,
With ballots cast in hope, now prey
To the altar of your affluence where we lay.

Your command—our bills to pay.
In sterile silence, cups bear our yield,
While truth-seekers in shadows shielded
By laws for machines, not flesh revealed.
In twisted amendments, humanity concealed.

Counterfeit ethos in the profit's surge,
While we—the marrow—endure the purge.
Our simple tools against your forge,
Arrows blunt against the corporate gorge.

Yet we rise each day, serve we must,
In 'We the people' we place our trust,
Hate fuels the heart against unjust,
Refusing to be grist in your ceaseless bust.
