THIS AIN'T OVER
Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)
THIS AIN'T OVER
You mock my faith, say God has no power
Tell me to give up, that there's no hope
You laugh as my trials start to tower
Ask me how I can dare to cope?
We're here, poor, sick, and in jail
You mock, there's nothing that frees us
Living Water flows from the eternal well
For in us lives our dear Savior Jesus
You keep trying to push me under
Bragging that I'm down and out
But do you hear that rolling thunder?
You're about to see what Salvation's all about
Because this ain't over, and I ain't done
My victory is assured by God's only Son
You got one chance brah, you better run
Or we'll throw down, the Cross already won
Tell me again that my faith is in vain
Tell me again, how God lies dead
Tell me again that I'm bound in pain
I'll just tell you the word's my Savior said
"All who call on me I'll save
All who seek me, they shall find
Doesn't matter the sin, I forgave
And their wounds I shall bind"
So push me down, spit in my face
Stone my body, Blind my eyes
Yet here I stand in God's Grace
Your persecution Faith defies
Because this ain't over, and I ain't done
My victory is assured by God's only Son
You got one chance brah, you better run
Or we'll throw down, the Cross already won
AMEN
About this poem
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” ROMANS 10 13-15
