Wisdom Instructing
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Fret not of the evildoers,
Jealous for their iniquity;
Envy not of the pursuers,
They have no credibility.
For they will soon fade like the grass,
And shrivel up as the green herb;
Judgment upon every trespass,
That has contradicted God’s Word.
Trust in the Lord as you do good,
Befriend faithfulness in the land;
Pursuing as to what you should,
Abiding within His command.
Verily then you shall be fed,
To delight yourself in the Lord;
Desires of the heart shall be led,
While staying in one accord.
Commit your way unto the Lord,
Trusting in Him and He will act;
Your requests will not be ignored,
Patiently wait He will enact.
He will bring forth your righteousness,
As the light and just at noonday;
Glory shining your faithfulness,
Prosperous judgment to obey
