My Teacher from back in the day

My Teacher from Back in the Day

I saw my teacher from back in the day
Got a flashback in the hallway
The one who molded me, Scolded me
Showed me the way

What can I say,
There was my teacher from back in the day.
They coached me, Approached me
Left me in dismay

As I look back on school.
Now it is cool,
back then It seemed hard, without a reward
.
But thanks to the teacher,
Who imparted knowledge
Whether in grade school or college.
I have a foundation that carried me to today.
Thank God for my teacher from back in the day.

I want to vote for this poem because I liked the subject matter. The lines kept control of my interest, and it was satisfying to read. I was pleased with the descriptions, of the way the protagonist changed over the course of the narrative.
