Trust issues

Here I sit
So simple witted.
I trusted a fart,
And nearly shitted.

That's a gamble you take,
And soon you'll regret.
As you scurry for the shitter,
Your brow dripping with sweat.

You plop down on the seat,
In the nick of time.
The smell that comes out
Should be considered a crime.

You sigh in relief
Thinking you're in the clear.
You're also concerned
That death is soon near.
