All The Signs

They say that love is extremely hard to find.
Before you came into my life, I used to worry I would miss all the signs.
After all, how does someone know when they’ve found what’s so hard to find?
Would I feel butterflies as the legend goes?
Would it make me blind as the saying goes?
Would I smile with every text of yours?
Would I forget all the previous pain that I’ve endured?
How many signs would I have to mark down before I knew?
Little did I know that seeing you smile would be the sign my heart would notice first, skipping a beat, no way it could be missed.
From there, the other signs felt like a dream come true.
I feel butterflies when it comes to you.
I can see my world clearer with you.
I smile with every text I see from you.
All my previous pain erased when I fell for you.
I’m blessed for having you in my life and for not having missed that first sign.
I can honestly say that I am crazy in love with you, and it’s all thanks to that beautiful smile of yours.

About this poem

Hadn't had much luck with love in years, felt empty like a void. Then one day, I met this woman, she smiled and who knew a smile would inspire me to write a poem?
