Feathers Lost in Revelry

Like ash,
A bird bereft, unheard,
Where has
My plumage gone?
I search, but find no trace,
Perhaps lost
In merry cheer's embrace?

About this poem

In this poem, I express a sense of loss and disconnection as I reflect on the absence of something vital, likened to a bird missing its feathers. I ponder where my sense of completeness has gone, wondering if it slipped away during moments of enjoyment, symbolized by beer. Through this search for the missing feathers, I delve into the deeper quest for meaning and identity amidst life's distractions.
